League #3 Results and Report

3RD SECOND SKIN/ERRANT SURF TRAVEL LEAGUE CONTEST.
SAUNTON SAT 10TH OCT.

Well, finally we got a day of sunshine and waves and not a drop of rain in sight. Thirty Hotdoggers gathered to do battle and try to amass some much needed points towards their final league total.

The surf was around two foot and cleanish but fairly weak. Everyone surfed well as expected as this was a double pointer so bonus points were up for grabs. There was also an inter-forces canoe/wave ski contest taking place which meant the beach was packed but everything was cool. The day went smoothly as judges kept appearing which kept the contest flowing, keep it up guys it helps immensely.

A big welcome to Vikkie on her first contest. It was good to see Zak Lawton back competing after a long time away travelling. The Maddocks brothers were neck and neck all the way through in the juniors while in the open Greg Robinson made history by beating Ashley Braunton for the first time to take first place. Martin Scrace and Ben Keay just missed out on the masters final and Greg Norman has stepped up a gear and got into a open final again.

We finished the day off with a curry in the white lion and a few beers.
